The highly anticipated release, which will be available worldwide on 23/11/24, includes the moving lead single Sweet Baby Blues. Fans can also expect a beautiful sax solo on the stripped-back song, adding an extra layer of depth to its already emotional composition. Written by Reid and Darden Smith, Sweet Baby Blues is set at 2am – a time of reflection and yearning. According to the artist, the song was inspired by the collective experience of writing it during a retreat in the wilds of Scotland. “Darden and I clicked creatively when we wrote Sweet Baby Blues sitting outside on a warm summers evening in the Highlands of Scotland,” Reid explains. “There is something beautiful about the collective experience of writing.” Known for her diverse influences and unique sound, Reid’s upcoming album promises to take fans on a journey. Blending elements of jazz, blues, and soul, the songs seamlessly move between intimate ballads and rhythm-driven tracks, capturing the ups and downs of the human experience.

But it’s not just her music that sets Reid apart. The artist is always looking to push boundaries and expand her horizons. From her Human Being Diet to her work as a coach, Reid takes inspiration from all aspects of her life, making for a truly rich and diverse musical experience. Her upcoming album, I Will Tell Your Story, was recorded entirely in Scotland with the support of Creative Scotland. The lead single, Sweet Baby Blues, was recorded at Castle Sounds Studio in Pencaitland, with the rest of the album recorded at Grans House and Chem19, with additional recordings taking place at Castle Sounds Studio. The album features an all-star lineup, including Louise Clare Marshall (Jools Holland’s band), Euan Stevenson (piano), Konrad Wiszniewski (sax), and Neil Warden (guitars). Plus, with production from the likes of Boo Hewerdine and Gustaf Ljunggren, fans can expect a high-quality and unforgettable musical experience.

With live shows already lined up for 2025, including appearances at Linlithgow Jazz Club and Northwest Castle Jazz Weekend, Reid is definitely one to watch.
