Brazil’s very own Child of SP, the first fully English language artist to emerge from the bustling streets of São Paulo, has just dropped his highly anticipated single ‘Issues’. This Hip Hop sensation is not afraid to break boundaries and explore deeper themes of cultural divide within his music.

The track itself is a masterpiece, showcasing Child of SP’s raw and vulnerable vocals as he delves into the complexities of a long-distance relationship. With its RnB style harmonies layered over spaced out drums, ‘Issues’ creates an ethereal and emotional journey for the listener, mirroring the emotional distance between the song’s characters. The lyrics speak of a retrospective look at a relationship that ultimately didn’t work out, highlighting the resilience and maturity of the couple as they navigated through distance and communication issues.

“We have issues, but we can work it out”. To add a visual element to this already poignant track, Child of SP has released a stunning music video directed by Peter Moutinho. Shot in both black and white and colour, the video follows the artist and his partner as they navigate the city, with an unspoken distance between them. Despite his young musical career, Child of SP has already achieved many milestones, including being the first Brazilian artist to exclusively sing in English and be signed by a major label. He has also had the opportunity to open for legendary artists such as Tyga and Akon, a moment that held special significance for him as Akon’s album ‘Konvicted’ was his first ever purchase. Don’t miss out on this rising star and his powerful new single ‘Issues’, available now on all major streaming platforms. Child of SP is breaking the barriers of language and culture, bringing a unique and captivating sound to the global hip hop scene.
