Shawney Rainne has been a staple of Nashville’s music scene since a young age. In 2021, she founded Everything But Country Music (EBCM) organization to level the playing field for musicians of all genres in Nashville, namely those outside its country scene.
Through EBCM, Shawney has been curating showcases for pop, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and singer-songwriter regulars, which has earned the organisation a nomination for the Southern Entertainment Award for Best Industry Event Service. But what truly sets Shawney Rainne apart is her own story of adversity and triumph. Adopted as a child by a controlling family, she was forced to run away at an early age and keep her creative inclinations hidden for fear of further torment. Now, with the release of her EP, and her success running the EBCM organisation, Shawney Rainne is a proud artist in her own right, and a champion of other upcoming artists to provide the support she needed to new musicians.
