Slim Loris transform personal pain into sonic pleasure with ‘Mindghosts’

Our sister site Lightning Nation recently talked in depth with Slim Loris about the process of transforming their personal pain into sonic pleasure. The Scandicana lot have moved away from the melancholia of their first three full-lengths and into more uplifting pastures. This brighter, most optimistic approach is evidenced nowhere better than album opener and brand new single ‘Mindghosts‘, which was written about the singer’s recovery from a breakdown.

Speaking about the track, front man Mattias Cederstam said: “The breakdown experience could have easily lead to even more depressing lyrics, but instead it had the opposite effect and the [forthcoming] EP became inspired by the journey back and by finding our strength again.”

The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming effort ‘Wild & Untamed’ due out May 2.
